Info: At Sanskriti the 20th Anniversary of the founding Chipko in Jharkhand (The Hug to the tree Movement) 24th October, 1989 was celebrated marking the day when Sunderlal Bahuguna inaugurated the movement at Sanskriti by hugging a Pipal tree and lighting a lamp. The event was reenacted.

350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide—measured in "Parts Per Million" in our atmosphere. 350 PPM—it's the number humanity needs to get back to as soon as possible to avoid runaway climate change. At present there is 387ppm of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
